hidden hurts

When something hurts to much to feel, the rational mind creats an illusion that somehow blocks the synapses from communicating with the nerve endings in other parts of the body so the ulcer or heart attack or stroke or other ailment is sudden instead of being the constant pain it was until the organ gave out. This is how it is for most people and it appears he has finally learned to be human and joined the club. Now, he sits alone in clutter wondering when the sudden end will strike him down for good. Good? Such a misused, misunderstood, mistaken word.
