a way out

she needed a way out of the hell she had created for herself and her kids, four innocents trapped with her on the side of a mountain near a lake in a beautiful home she made with a good man who somehow lost his way and wandered into an irresponsible fog of mental illness where he could not be reached... she was an innocent too, at first, but abuse turned her bitter and taught her survival techniques she that did not always make it through to her consciousness, but that too was a survival technique for if she really knew how well she learned to use people to get what she needed, she would realize how much she did not like herself and that would hurt even more... she ran to him to save herself and her daughter and had three more kids with him... they were happy on the mountain at first, before he drifted away... it is a nightmare to be living with someone who was not really there anymore... and then she found him and said all the right things and he helped her make her escape and he fell in love with her and her kids and she really was grateful, but just kept on her way of using and not really trusting and that brought his heart... it was a very sad story, really, even cruel at times...
