emotionally caged

he shows any frustration or anger or or sadness or weakness and she pounces, physically... in public, she ignores him when he needs a friend most... even puts him down for being too sensitive... yet she calls him her bff... she does not seem to know what the word friend means... she does not seem to know how to be a friend... it hurts him a lot, but he adopted her and does not turn his back on family and she needs him now because she is unstable on several levels... she doesn't want to talk about it... he feels so alone... he has no one to talk to because he respects her privacy so he has isolated himself from all of his friends to keep from lying to them... to keep from pretending everything is alright... he is so true to his promises, he is torn between protecting her and surviving... and in his own loneliness and lack of family, he does not want her to leave no matter how used or abused he feels... altruistic martyr willing to die for unconditional love or desperate child willing to die for family... maybe time will tell, cuz he is not really sure and may not even want to know... and she doesn't say...
