financial tensions

the financial tension is ignored and that raises my tension because this was not the way it was supposed to be years ago when she moved in with him and especially this year... he was torn between buying the new car or just spending a couple of thousand dollars to fix up the old car and they had a serious talk about it... she assured him she would focus and make sure she stopped overspending and would start paying her share of the rent and it's not happening... it's too late to sell the car and get anything reasonably close to equity and spending more for a new car now would be unwise, but so is draining his savings every month...
