sleep deprivation
deprivation on account of he's deprived, or is that depraved... before we go asking officer krupke in multiple harmonies, the life we live asleep usually takes a lot more of our precious time than the life we live without obligation to work or others... that ought to be depressing, or at least quite sad, except sleep deprivation usually brings about a senseless euphoria in this particular case, i mean, not that he's not at all susceptible to sorrows and blues, but he much prefers rainbows and all the other hues (as if that is news)... still, with the professional responsibilities of managing more than a hundred people and an annual budget of millions (as in dollars), it becomes more vital than ever to actually be awake and alert and have that thing called a sharp mind every day (ah, retirement never lasts... he knows, he's been trying to get it right for years and laughs every time he falls back into the trap of helping others... but he does live his work {and he loves it too... even the typos make sense in this state of mindful beingness... and parenthetic asides... or something like that}, so life is good)...
sleep is the wise move, after the game :)
